Terms and conditions for purchase of products and general information

I. Customer Orders

The customer shall pay 90% of the estimated value as advance in order to confirm the order. The final Invoice value will be determined at the time of delivery. The customer shall collect the product within 30 (thirty) days from the date of receipt of the aforesaid advance monies by Zen Diamond.

II. Return of product sold by Zen Diamond

• Product sold by Zen Diamond can be returned within a period of 7 (seven) days from the date of purchase in any of the showrooms, subject to the following conditions:
  • The product to be returned is unused and not customized.
  • The product to be returned is in the same condition in which it was sold.
  • The product to be returned is returned within 7 (seven) days from the date of purchase.
  • The original invoice/receipt and certificate in respect of such product to be returned is produced.
  • The product to be returned is not tampered with or altered or in any way interfered with, in any manner whatsoever.
  • Refund valuation will be exclusive of GST or any other taxes as applicable. Payment on returns as stated here will be made compulsorily by cheque only, within 10 (ten) working days.
• If the customer exchanges the product within a period of 7 (seven) days from the date of purchase as stated in the invoice for another lower value product of the same category, no refund on the differential amounts of the same shall be given to the customer. However, if the customer exchanges the product within a period of 7 (seven) days from the date of purchase as stated in the invoice for another higher value product, then the difference in the amounts shall be paid by the customer to Zen Diamond.

III. Exchange/Upgradation/Buyback policy after 7 (seven) days of sale of product

• Zen Diamond will be happy to buy back and accept Zen Diamond’s product sold through any Zen Diamond’s store as per its prevailing terms and conditions on date of such exchange, which is at the sole discretion of Zen Diamond.
• Zen Diamond will only accept product under the exchange/buyback policy after due and thorough examination of such product and its authenticity by the personnel of Zen Diamond and/or third party laboratories and only then, the exchange/buy back shall be processed.

IV. Valuation at the time of exchange/buyback of product purchased from any Zen Diamond’s store, Zen Diamond will value the product on the terms and conditions as follows:

• Valuation of all products will be done as on date, on the basis of Zen Diamonds Intelligent Valuation System (ZDIVS), which takes into account current market prices, metal weight,diamond and gemstone quality to determine all values which are determined by Zen Diamonds.
  • Diamond Jewellery will be exchanged at 100% of ZDIVS only if the value of the new diamond jewellery being acquired in exchange is thirty five percent (35%) greater than the exchange value.
  • The buy-back price of the diamond jewelry will be at 80% of ZDIVS.
  • The purchase price of the new diamond jewellery being purchased in exchange of old solitaire jewellery must be atleast 50% higher than the ZDIVS valuation of the old solitaire diamond jewellery being exchanged.
  • The purchase price of the new Solitaire diamond jewellery being purchased in exchange of Old Solitaire jewellery must be atleast 35% (thirty five percent) higher than the ZDIVS valuation of the old solitaire jewellery being exchanged.
  • The purchase price of the new Solitaire diamond jewellery being purchased in exchange of Old diamond jewellery must be atleast 35% (thirty five percent) higher than the ZDIVS valuation of the old diamond jewellery being exchanged.
  • Zen Diamond’s 24kt gold coins/bars will be exchanged at ZDIVS value only against 24kt gold coins/bars and buyback of the same shall be at ZDIVS value being 3% less of the net weight of gold of the coins/bars.
  • Zen Diamond’s 18kt gold jewellery will be exchanged at Zen Diamond’s ZDIVS value and buyback of the same shall be at price being 5% less of the net weight of gold jewellery.
  • Zen Diamond’s silver coins/bars will be exchanged at ZDIVS value only against silver coins/bars and buyback of the same shall be at price being 5% less of the net weight of silver coins/bars.
• While normal wear and tear is to be expected to the product, however, appropriate deductions to the product will be applicable, which shall be upto 100% of ZDIVS value for excessive wear and tear, damage, or stone defects (crack, replacement. alterations and loss of bill and certificate)etc.
• All products covered under the exchange / buyback and upgrade policy will be eligible for such exchange / buyback and upgrade only after the approval of the quality check by Zen Diamond or its agency and Zen Diamond’s or its agency’s decision shall be final.
• The weight of the gold will be net of all pearl, stones, lac, dust, dirt and any other extraneous material.
• Free gift or discounts issued during the original sale, will be deducted at the time of exchange/buyback /upgrade on invoice value at the time of exchange/ buyback /upgrade.
• None of the products can be exchanged for gold/silver coins/bars save and except the gold/silver coins/bars as stated herein.
• Credit Card charges shall be deducted over and above the exchange/buyback/upgrade deductions, on the overall invoice value.
• All buyback valuation will be exclusive of GST or any other taxes as applicable. Payment on buyback or any refunds or returns as stated here will be made compulsorily by cheque only, within 10 (ten) working days .

V. Exchange Policy for products other than Zen Diamond’s products

The exchange of products other than Zen Diamond’s products will be at the sole discretion of Zen Diamond.

VI. General Information:

• The Courts in Mumbai shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to try and dispose of any matter/claim/dispute arising out of the transaction as stated in this invoice.
• Any request for further services or exchange or buyback of the products sold under this invoice or any services in respect of the complaints must be accompanied with the original invoice or receipts and certificates and Zen Assurance Card as issued by us in respect thereof.
• If payment is made by local cheque or demand draft, delivery of the product purchased under this invoice will be made only after realization of the amount as stated in this invoice.
• Zen Diamond can withdraw and/or alter its exchange or return or buyback policy without giving a prior notice and at its sole discretion at any given time and the decision of Zen Diamond shall be final.
• It is specifically stated that any exchange/buyback/return of any solitaire jewellery having an invoice value of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakh only) or more, shall be at the option of Zen Diamonds and the terms and conditions stated herein shall not be applicable.
• It is categorically stated that the exchange/return/upgradation policy is not applicable to any accessories sold by Zen Diamond save and except what is stated herein.
